Carolina Panthers quarterback sustained a concussion final Sunday in the Panther’s loss to Tampa Bay. But the Ravens alternatively are well rested coming off a Bye Week in Week ten. One aspect of the Carolina Panthers defense that’s over looked is their strength against the pass. The Carolina Panthers defense has shut down some of the most effective passing offenses int he NFL using the exception from the New Orleans Saints two weeks ago. Against the run the Carolina Panthers are giving up 124 yards and which is somewhat over the improved defenses in the NFL.

The problem in this game may be the Baltimore Ravens have not shown a proclivity for going deep considerably unless Anquan Boldin breaks free of charge on an out route straight up the field. Joe Flacco showed in the game against the Atlanta Falcons he will not throw well on the run or out from the pocket and that could possibly be the Carolina Panthers strategy in this game. Will it work? Not against a team that was embarrassed last week and has 10 days to prepare. The Baltimore Ravens offense has the edge over the Carolina Panthers defense.

The Carolina Panthers offense is in poor shape as their operating backs and their reserves are all laid up. They’re hoping they’ll no less than have DeAngelo Williams or Jonathan Stewart back for this game. In the passing game, the Carolina Panthers have plenty of weapons, including Steve Smith, a major ten wide receiver in the NFL that has struggled this season.

Sportsbook lists the Ravens are the 10 point favorites, using the more than beneath at 37.

Ray Lewis and the Baltimore Ravens defense suffered a different embarrassment against the Atlanta Falcons final week. They’re going to have had ten days to obtain it together for this game and with time on their side the Baltimore Ravens will use this game to make a statement.

Ed Reed has currently begun to make an effect on the Baltimore Ravens defense but unfortunately it has been a negative impact. None of this matters in this game. The Baltimore Ravens defense will carve up Jimmy Clausen and the Carolina Panthers offense.
