Camping Is A Joyful Discovery
Camping is one activity that can be shared by so many people and it is a great way to get to know the countryside, experience Mother Nature at her best and have enormous fun along the way. Examining the many appeals of camping, this article looks at just why camping is such a pleasurable experience.
Camping, it is often said, is not for everyone. However, this is a myth, since if everyone gave camping a try, they would undoubtedly love it and really start to appreciate just what camping can do for the soul!It has also improved greatly from small, uncomfortable tents which was all that was once available. Now you can have all kinds of modern facilities and campsites are clean, well run and with nice hot showers and usually very clean toilets.
People who have not tried camping, or who have not camped for a long time, forget what it is really about. You will find that if you are camping somewhere very quiet and still, that when you are woken up by the sheep and the dawn chorus that it is anything but quiet; the excitement of being awakened by the noise of nature will never cease to thrill.
Indeed, being woken by the magnificent sound of a prevailing dawn chorus of birds is a fantastic event.Conversing with nature makes you realise that you are just a small part of the planet and that we share this planet with nature.
But getting back to wildlife and being at one with nature is only 1 aspect of camping (albeit a very important one). Many people like the camaraderie of camping. Pitching up your camping tents, working as a team (or not as the case may be, cooking by the campfire, meeting other campers, enjoying games outdoors and burning sausages with a couple of tins of lager: what more could you ask for?
Camping is almost like a grand social leveller.Everyone is camping outdoors, just enjoying the countryside and having fun. This is not about who has the biggest tent, the most luxurious canopy, but rather it is about simply enjoying the experience of camping and everyone being together in the great outdoors.
It is also a great way to see the UK and its countryside in all its glory. The reasons in fact are so convincing that it is bizarre why everyone just doesn’t make at least one of their annual holidays a camping holiday. But the fact that they don’t is great news for campers: some secrets such as the joys of camping should not be shared by everyone, only the ones lucky enough to take the plunge and take to the canvas!
